We brought the world to the children in Sela Village.
Marriott International joined hands with the Yao foundation to build a ‘Hope School’ 4,000 meters above sea level to educate the children of Sela Village. As a part of this endeavor, we invited them to see the world through virtual travel. The experience broadened their horizons beyond their tiny village, better than any textbook in the world could.
We captured the event with a video to drive impressions and educate about Marriott's positioning; "Travel Brilliantly"
The video will be hosted on MH Weibo including a KOL led approach through Weibo & Wechat, aiming to drive reach, conversation & buzz, as well as increasing traffic & followers.
The pupils of Sela Village Central School in Sichuan of China experience virtual travel through the Teleporter –
a Project Hope school jointly supported by Marriott and The Yao Foundation, established by former professional basketball star Yao Ming
Through a Microsite, we showcased Marriott's passion for travel and innovation by bringing a virtual reality travel experience to the people of Sela Village, then sharing this experience with Millenials through social media channels.
